La di da di - Slick Rick
Song: La di da di
Arist: Slick Rick
Genre: Old School Hip Hop
Album: ??
Year: 1985
Slick Rick is the well known story teller in hip hop. Famous for his long winding narratives, He delivers another one in this song. La di da di in my opinion is a classic song anyone into hip hop should have. Many lines that rappers use these days are from Slick Rick and many of them from this song. Many artists have even covered this song. You might recognize the hook from Hypnotize near the end of the song. 2 pac used a line from the beginning of the song. Slick Rick was also one of the first originators of the content of the songs you hear on the radio today. He is a very skilled mc and will always have my respect for putting together complex rhymes and sharing his genius with us all.
Happy Thanksgiving!

The Watcher - Dr. Dre
Title: The Watcher
Artist: Dr. Dre
Album: 2001
Year: 1999
Genre: Hip hop
This is a track off of Dr. Dre's second classic album 2001. His flow and style here make the song much better. Again, the lyrics are genius and the beat matches them. There are many versions of this song floating around the hip hop culture but this is the original and in my opinion the best. Dr. Dre hits paydirt with almost all of his songs on this album. His genius is often overlooked when mentioning the best hip hop producers and artists of all time.

Oasis - Wonderwall
Title: Wonderwall
Artist: Oasis
Album: (What's the Story) Morning Glory?
Year: 1995
Genre: Brit Pop/ Rock
Alright so today we will go back to the classical 90's as I like to call it. This song is one of my favorites from the British band Oasis. This songs vocals mix perfectly with the guitar and the drums. The vocals aren't perfect but they fit the tone the song was trying to set. I remember listening to this song when I was younger. Oasis is one of my favorite bands from the 90's. I highly reccomend this album and might even highlight it in a future post. This song just does so many things right in my opinion.
